I am curious how the "character" will be able to move.

Well, I understand that there are levels of realism. You can adjust it to be realistic or arcade. So, my question is, will we be able to do all the typical jumping, crouch spamming, dolphin diving[CoD wise], etc on the lowest realism settings?

No need to bump, as whenever I log in, the forum lets me know what threads I'm not caught up on yet.

While the game's behavior will change depending on your realism setting, it will still have a realistic slant. In other words, at it's most unrealistic it will be cod-like. Bunny hopping and many other BS tactics will not work under any realism setting.

i liked AA's movement, where u need to sprint to really move around the map, which sacrifices ur ability to shoot. faster u move, the more ur gun moves, etc. jumping and shooting should be a big no no. ive been debating on whether or not jumping should even really be in games now. i think GoW had it down good when u can mantle up and down, but no jumping. how many soldiers do u see jumping? very little

I would be entirely happy if the jump key did not function away from obstacles.

Diving then getting up should take time.

You should not be able to fire some/most of the weapons underwater.

themain purpose of jumping is to get over stuff, but if you can get over stuff without jumping, you could almost remove it..

Just hearing Sox (or any game developer) say those words makes me feel all warm and fuzzy all over. My interest in Alliance has just gone up 10 fold. :)

PUT JUMPING IN or atleast make it so that you cannot be stoped by sidewalks or walls that are half a meter high. I hate games without a jump key that limmit your movement unrealisticly with small bariers that come to your knees but that cant be jumps or climbed over.

maybe it could be context sensitive, like COD2(don't shoot me yet) Where when you got to a wall or somthing and you hit space you would low crawl over it, or a low wall you could hop it.

One thing that always makes me mad in FPS games, is the inability to walk over, say, a pile of wood, or over a blown up wall. Take COD4's SP for example. While its pretty fun, at times it infuriating trying to manuver ones way through a street with rubble and the like, that acts like an invisible wall has been build around it, thus preventing walking over, or by it.

Granted, sometimes such things are used to present boundaries in a more realistic way, but when EVERYTHING except the exact places where you were intended to walk cannot be navigated through (or over), it can get annoying

well i played swat 4 once, in single player it was pretty good because you really dident get stopped by anaything unrealistically, and that game had no jumping abilities, so if theres no jump, people should be able to mantle over stuff atleast to neck height.
