Hi setup this subject again. :)

Have layed a movie on mytube dot com, a while ago. But the quality of the sound was packed down too much. So the sound was really crappy. So i setup this soundtrack into my own domain. Link bellow. Hopefully there will be more recommendation from other members of this forum, to a real sweet soundtrack to this amazing game. Hopefully my soundtrack wins. Heavy sound and nothing really special to it. The great movie will still be the best part. The movie work i will give over to the Alliance team.

Not bad...

To give the game some extra umph, why dont your communications team get in touch with Armin Van Burren, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk and the like and ask them to write something atmospheric for the game - giving them a big plug on screen. Not only will it give you a great soundtrack, it will also make the game increased cred :D

Well, games, like movies can use songs mad by professional artists, right?

So, here are my sugggestions :
In Flames - "Man made God"
Unearth - "Zombie Autopilot"
Killswitch Engage - "Roses of Sharyn" <== good for tragic moments

Also, for some serene moments "Jhazmynes Lullaby" by 7 Angles 7 Plagues would be good.

As you can tell, we're quite the big fans of it.

Does anyone here knwo if, like directors, game devlopers can utilize music from contemnpory artists?

I mean, I know that the story is going to involve very large scale issues and situations, and for that, the rssian music would fit perfectly. :)

But.. I also take it that the story wil also involve main characters? For interpersonal things, that's where my above recomendations would come in.

My song suggestions would be good for the cinematics.

Here's antoher good song :
All Shall Perish - An Interlude

I can't see playing a shooter to that music. Or doing much of anything to it other than hitting "stop." It's not bad music, I just don't like that style. A classical orchestration is my personal choice, as most people find it agreeable. But it doesn't matter, I'll turn it off and listen to some of my music.

First, I stated that the music will be during cutscenes, as opposed to actual gameplay.

It's not at all what you think. :) While these are grindcore bands, most metal bands ahave a few melodic tracks ans these abands are no excpetion.

Here is Unearth's "Aries"

You've got your wires crossed. I was replying to the original post, except where I quoted yours.

You know if they could get Harry Gregson-Williams to do the soundtrack for them, then that would be the shit. But i doubt if they could get him since hes working on a lot of shit already doing soundtrack for the new MGS game and countless other movies like Shrek 3, and the new Chornicles of Narnia movie coming out, and a whole lot more.

I heard this song on a user made video on gametrailers.com
Its, "Fundamentum" by Lesiem.

Its very deep, ambient, and powerful, yet still up-beat.

http://lesiem.calabashmusic.com/

You can listen to it there, as well as more songs.

I think yall will like it

(full song with video is here: http://www.gametrailers.com/umwatcher.php?id=22908)
