This was undeniably one of the neatest weapons I have seen ever. I mean, how did they even fit it? I dont even see a barel either. It would make a nice easter egg weapon. :)

Rather have a colt pocket pistol.

I suppose that would work. I think alot of these things would be great for alliance because you'd never see anything like them them in a typical shooter. I mean, who hasn't secretly wanted roman candles in a shooter before?

What about some classic lever actions guns? Something like this would be soo fun to use
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRvCC8ugCAw
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8mnA1U1fL8

What I really like about these kind of weapons is that they connect you with the physical action of loading the weapon. In most games, you can't even see the new rounds in the detachable magazine.

I agree, shooting a lever action or bolt action gun is a real pleasure because of the manual dexterity and input required to operate it. Quite satisfying, like driving a car with a manual transmission

The key would be to have great reloads though. Many games just basically go with "ok something magical happens" and your gun now has a full magazine. In MW3, with all their advanced tech, you can't even see the bullets in the new mag as you insert it. It's just a block. :? I don't know.. many people dont think detail matters but i am of the opinion that it's one of the most important things.

If it hasn't already been mentioned, how about the stoner 63?

It's been a long long while since I've suggested anything and I have a few new things which I think would be killer to see eventually.

To start off, two newish firearms from our friends over in Italy.

Beretta PX4 Storm

Chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP, it has the ergos of a M9 but with the weight and size of a polymer pistol.

Image

Beretta ARX-160

"Carbine' length pictured, it has plenty of that picatinny rail everyone loves nowadays and they even developed a grenade launcher just for it (the GLX-160). It's completely polymer and uses a ceramic resistor to dissipate heat that's said to work so well that you'd melt the barrel before you'd melt the receiver.

It also has a bullet-button on the side that can instantly change which way it ejects brass, the charging handle can be easily flipped to either side, and the barrel comes out with the push of a button. Those things may not translate to the game well but I think that they're superhighspeedoperatorcool.

Continued in next post!

To continue the space-gun trend I seem to have going, two new things from our buddies in the Czech Republic!

CZ SCORPION EVO 3

A 9mm SMG that I think just looks awesome.

CZ 805 BREN

A 5.56 rifle that is a candidate to replace the VZ. 58 for the Czech army.

Damn I haven't posted in ages here. Well I was watching Top Shot and saw a really cool gun. Will Alliance have sport shooting guns? I was thinking of the Razorcat 2011, only a 100 or so in the world so they aren't common to say the least. Basically a super fast version of a 1911: http://www.gunmartblog.com/2011/03/vide ... llcat.html

We will absolutely have all manner of target, competition, and sporter guns.

Both Eric and I are avid sport shooters, and, much as good racing games usually start with gear-head founders... well... you get the picture :)

F2000 with original scope as opposed to F2000 Tactical. For me the trend of pasting rails all over guns is the same as a horrible blinged-out car. Ditto for G36, Tavor, Aug and P90 scopes.

And a Calico M955A

No game would be complete without a rocket flamethrower :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzxVL8Wo ... ure=relmfu

Those russians.. always coming up with crazy stuff :P

I think what will really set alliance apart from other games is having weapons that span the entire globe, not just american guns a few from the bad guys like in most shooters.

What about a south american rifle?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDF1rVbfXcU

Chinese?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDF1rVbfXcU
http://world.guns.ru/assault/ch/type-63-e.html

Croatia?
http://world.guns.ru/assault/hr/aps-1995-e.html

Im not an expert on weapons, but im pretty sure russia has a few more than the AK47 like most games would have us believe. :)
