Now I've been a loyal customer of New Egg and I didn't think that they could possibly do anything better, but I had an experience today that simply blew my mind.

I recently purchased a Motorola MPX220 off eBay and I wanted to get a card to hold movies, music, games, etc... So I called up Motorola and asked them how big of a card the MPX 220 could support. They said 512MB was the max. I placed an order on New Egg for a Corsair 512MB MiniSD card. I looked on Google yesterday and discovered that it could actually hold as big a card as one could find. The reason Motorola had said that is because the largest card availible at the time of the release of the MPx220 was 512MB.

So I got the card today. I was going to call NewEgg and ask them if I could return it so I could buy a larger card. I ended up doing an IM type thingy. Here's my conversation with the customer service rep.:

Quote:
Thank you for contacting Newegg. My name is Amy. How may I assist you today?

Josh: I just purchased a new memory card for my MPX 220.

Josh: I called Motorola and asked them how much it could possible hold, they said 512mb, so I purchased a 512MB card.

Josh: However, I read on the internet after my order had been shipped that it can hold any amount of memory.

Josh: Is there anyway I could possibly return the card and get refund. It is still unopened.

Amy: May I have the item# you would like to return please?

Josh: N82E16820233031

Josh: It's a Corsair 512MB MiniSD Card

Amy: Let me take a look into that......one moment please.

Josh: Ok.

Amy: I do apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. I would like to make this transition as effortless as possible. Therefore, instead of having you send back the item to us. I would like to offer you a refund, for the amount of the item, and have you just keep the item. That way you can simply replace the order for the correct item you would like and not worry about the shipping back.

Josh: Ok, that'd be great.
Amy: I will issue the refund. Please allow 3-5 business days for processing.

Amy: Do you have any other questions, or is there anything else I can assist you with today?

Josh: That'd be all. I'd just like to say I am astounded at the great quality of New Egg once again. You guys have never failed me.

Amy: Thank you for contacting us. I hope you have an Eggcellent day!

I was just astounded by how awesome NewEgg customer service was. So if you ever need parts or computer paraphernalia, buy it from NewEgg (No, I don not work for NewEgg), they've got great prices and awesome service.

I must sound like a bot right about now...

NewEgg does rock. We use them quite a bit ourselves and have never been dissapointed. They should send us some free stuff now... :)

Going to get a 8800 soon and might have to get it from Tiger Direct. For some reason New Egg doesn't have them yet. :( Might get the processor, mobo, and ram I need from them though if the price is better then Tiger Direct.

That's Bigdaddy's dog.

And you can't sell on NewEgg, this isn't eBay.

I think Windows XP can support up to 8GB, but that might be one of the server versions.

An LED is a Light Emitting Diode. What you referring to is an LCD, a Liquid Crystal Display. LEDs are used for stuff like mini flash lights and little lights that light up switches and what not.

It's not that bright... It might be LCD too I forget what it is as long as it works.

Yeah I know. Don't know why I said LED I meant LCD. I was thinking of OLEDs though those don't act as a light source like LEDs do and will be great.

I recently bought a video card from NewEgg and also had a great experience with them.

Basically my order kept failing because of a typo i had made in the credit card info, and even though i kept trying to update the account info it'd never take. So after 2 days of trying to do this via the site, i decided to call and speak to a human. The first thing that amazed me was that they answered the phone promptly. The second thing that amazed me was that they spoke perfect english and sounded like they were educated and knew what they were talking about. The 3rd thing that amazed me was that my video card showed up the very next day. I wasn't expecting it for 3 days.
