The American military used M14 when they began their involvement on Vietnam.

They did use the Garand in Nam, heck the Marines even used the M16A1 from Nam in the first Gulf War.

Well it must had been just in limited numbers because by that time the M14 was the standard issue rifle.

It's not cowboy. You could argue that it is a gentleman's pistol, though. And at least it's a lamed up copy of the G36 made of platic ;)

derman you know that if you ever take me on with your sad little webley there, we might have a good match? i mean, heck my all steel and wood colt .45 would be laying the smack on your poor .38, but yours is a revolver and thus has that nice look to it, but mine is the colt .45 1911, so it looks as nice as a pistol gets to, so were at a match.

EDIT: and yah the xm8 would have no chance, plastic peice of poo thats a ripoff of the german made gun, germans make good guns, but if the americans copy it, its poo!

They are both finely made German crafted weapons.

It's ironic that a gentlemen carries a pistol.

To add, I am not a fan of the XM8, but I have not used it so I am just going on looks.

All military "Mark" Webleys are in calibre .455, either Mk.I or Mk.II (Mk.I uses black powder, Mk.II uses cordite), except for the rebuilt Mk.IV, which uses .38 S&W/200 (a 200 grain S&W .38). The standard .455 projectile weighs 265 grains, while the average .45 ACP projectile weighs 235 grains. The Mk. VI is probably the one that'll make it into the game, so all I have to say is "Bring it on, good sir.".

My books on Vietnam are in the attic but according to information on the internet (hey, if the web says it's so, it must be true) the M1C and M1D did see use in Vietnam which does ring a bell.

I will go for...

SIG552/551 (depending on just how cramped it is) for built up stuff. I like Swiss watches so the guns must be FTW, right? :D
Optic depending on just how cramped it is.

or

FN FAL for open country work, probably with a scope for that purpose.

CZ75 just to be different.

Sharpened sticks.
